Greetings, fellow Republicans! It's official, the New Republic Communications Network is now in full operation again. I know that over the past several months many citizens have had trouble with the various servers that were damaged by the Imperial Occupation of Coruscant. But thanks to our courageous Armed Forces, Coruscant is now back in Republic hands.
The extensive damage caused by the warring factions of the Imperial remnants took much longer to repair than expected, due to a predator virus inserted by one of the treacherous Imperials. We managed to save much of the CommNet Information Banks by sheer luck, or the Force. We ask you to continue, however, to expect CommNet difficulties as we attempt to link the databanks at Obri-Skai onto the most extensive network in the New Republic.
On a side note, apologies to the citizens in the Southern Hemispherical Quarter of Coruscant. The CommNet servers in you area were destroyed accidently by a construction droid last week, and we are still in the process of installing new ones. In the meantime, you will be linked into the Northern Hemishperical Quarter Server, so you will have to expect a half or full second delay. This should be rectified by next week.
In addition, we are in the process of creating a special one-way link into the Imperial Holographic Network, to further the amount of information in your grasp. Imagine, having access to every Ubiqtorate in the known galaxy!
So please, be patient while we make the CommNet a better place, and please report any unlawful hacking or data purging of the CommNet.
